Dr. Moses
Dr. Moses; Dr. Moses is originally from Atlanta. She attended Clemson University earning a bachelor of science degree in animal science. She has worked with horses, dairy cows, dairy goats, exotics, dogs and of course cats. After working abroad in New Zealand followed by a couple of years with Clemson Animal Hospital, waiting tables and running her own pet sitting service she saved enough pennies to attend the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation she spent almost a decade in the Akron, OH area where she worked for a very progressive 24/7 multi-doctor practice. This was a valuable experience as it afforded her the luxury of seeing many interesting and unusual cases as well as using all kinds of advanced equipment. Working with cats only was always her dream and goal.

However, returning to relief work while planning for her move back to the southeast made her acutely aware that you can practice great medicine without so many bells and whistles. An engaged mind and talented hands can go a long way in this profession. Dr. Moses moved to Charlotte in 2006 specifically to start a cat hospital. 13 months after arriving in the Queen city she opened the doors of 4 Seasons Cat Hospital. With no pre-existing clients and only a minimal familiarity with Charlotte she assumed all the risks associated with starting a new business to create a calm environment conducive to a catís well-being.

By focusing on a single species Dr. Moses can invest all of her continuing education in feline medicine, surgery and behavior. She is very involved in the American Association of Feline Practitioners and its mission to educate both fellow professionals and cat owning clients about feline health. As a student she received their award for excelling in feline medicine and surgery. She attends AAFPís meetings every year and enjoys sharing ideas and cases with her fellow practitioners.

For over 20 years she has shown and bred Maine Coon Cats and for a short stent European Burmese. She has retired from breeding due her growing responsibilities in 4 Seasons Cat Hospital but those years gave her unique insight into the management of multi-cat households. Two of her retired big boys, Marco and Chip, act as the official meet and greet committee for the hospital. Occasionally they share a little blood with a patient when needed. Dr. Moses also loves exploring the mountains, reading, crafting and going to movies. Dr. Moses' father, brother, sister-n-law, 2 nephews and a niece live in Atlanta. She enjoys spending time with her family whenever possible.

Dr. Moses has also established the Felines Without Families Fund which provides the financial means for 4 Seasons Cat Hospital to treat sick or injured cats and kittens who have no family or guardian to provide for them. She also provides discounted services to FURR (Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehabilitation).
